Smith Bates Printing & Design
For outstanding business excellence through dependability, success, marketing, quality of high
standards in customer relations, SmithBates Printing & Design, owned by Dan and Ann Cavanaugh,
was named the Klamath County Chamber of Commerce Retailer of the Year. Smith Bates was recognized
for ingenuity and continuously reinventing, adapting, preserving and understanding the needs of
their clients and the community.
SmithBates was recognized for with several different awards during the Centennial year:
- For continuously contributing to Klamath County organizations, such as Soroptomist
International, the Ross Ragland Theatre, Reames Golf and Country Club, Sky Lakes Medical Center
Capital Campaign, United Way, Klamath Ice Sports and Klamath Union High School DECA.
- For their heavy involvement with Chamber, serving on several action teams including the
Business Retention and Marketing Team.
- For their support of the District Attorney's Methamphetamine Task Force
SmithBates was also commended for having played a key role in the Chambers marketing efforts by
producing the Klamath County Magazine, Visitors Map and Historic Downtown Walking Tour.
